I got this as one of the kindle monthly details for a dollar thinking for that price I might as well check it out. I'm very glad I did. I've hit some duds with books from deals recently but this one caught me up right off the bat. A very engaging and fun story. The main character Virginia was very relatable and I like the idea of dragons that can turn into humans. Only 4 stars because the love story is predictable, but I still a great book. Definitely recommend this to young adult fantasy lovers.Tags : Dragonbound - Kindle edition by Chelsea M. Campbell. Download it once and read it on your Kindle device, PC, phones or tablets. Dragonbound edition by Chelsea M Campbell Children eBooks Reviews
I love it, its one of my favorites but it really needs a second book and to have a series.
This book was absolutely cute!!! I won't say anything more without risking spoilers but I definitely would recommend this book! The only thing is I wish both parties des covered they weren't "broken" so to speak instead of just one, but hopefully there will be a book 2 for that! Wink wink nudge nudge ;)
This was an exciting and sweet story. I was laughing out loud many times as I read this. I would recommend this book as it was one of the few that has relatable and realistic characters. I never wanted to scream in frustration as the leads never behaved stupidly. Well worth the read!
I enjoyed this book a lot. I loved the chapter titles and the two main characters. Two flawed people starting as enemies and becoming friends and more while dealing with their issues. I wish both characters had their issues resolved, but perhaps that means another book.
This was an easy read and I did enjoy the story. The character development was okay, but I do like a bit more of character development. That is a must for me. The main character was a bit annoying at times, which made the book drag a bit. Love dragons, so I found that interesting, but would have loved more history on the different clans.
I am a huge fan of the author's Renegade X series. I was hoping for more of the same writing style but I was sorely disappointed even though I think that is what the author was going for. Perhaps it is just a difference in the characters. I care about the main character in the Renegade X series who is down right funny but here I couldn't relate to the character at all. To me the main character in Dragon Bound (Vee) seemed whiny, stupid, transparent and kind of unbelievable as far as her motives go. I was glad when it was over. I know that may sound harsh but I want to stress that the book wasn't bad, but it wasn't what I was expecting either.
I thought this was a fun book to read. The writing is well done and the story is captivating. I have worked with teenagers a lot over the past 30 years and I thought the running dialogue the main character had going on in her head was very typical of teenagers. Worrying, wondering and babbling about everything. If that bothers you, then you may not care for this. However, I found it very on par with the thought process of that age and quite entertaining.
